Get Timelee

Two things to do, in this order: put the app on the phone that is actually with you, and sign in on the laptop where you will build the complicated reminders. The phone rings; the browser plans.

A pair of hands holding a smartphone with a laptop on the table

Timelee runs on Android, iPhone and iPad, and in a browser

One Google account covers all three. A reminder you create on any of them appears on the others, and the mobile app is what schedules and rings it. Start with whichever device you have in your hand right now, then add the other.

Sign in with Google. There is no password to create. Apple sign-in appears in the mobile app marked as coming and is not live yet.

Three ways in

Each one leads to the same account and the same reminders.

  • Timelee for Android

The full app: every reminder kind, every delivery channel, plus the camera, microphone and geofence a reminder sometimes needs. See what it does and which permissions matter.

  • Timelee for iPhone and iPad

Full-screen call-style reminders on a phone designed to keep quiet, with voice and photo capture and phone-call delivery when it matters.

  • The web dashboard

Sign in with Google in any browser. Build the reminders that are too fiddly for two thumbs, then let the phone deliver them.

The first ten minutes

Most of the reminders that fail do so because one of these was skipped.

  1. Sign in with Google

The same account on the phone and in the browser. No password is created, so there is nothing to keep in step between devices.

  2. Allow notifications on the phone

Without it, neither the alarm nor the in-app call has anywhere to appear. On Android, also allow alarms and reminders and turn off battery optimisation for Timelee.

  3. Verify your phone number

One code, once. After that, phone-call delivery is available on any reminder you choose, and Timelee still cannot ring a number nobody has verified.

  4. Set one reminder that matters

Something this week you would rather not miss, on Important or Critical. Then set a second one two minutes ahead as a test, with the phone in the state it is usually in.

Credits are bought in the mobile app

The delivery options that place a real phone call run on call credits, and credits are bought inside the Timelee app on Google Play or the App Store. There is no web checkout, so a web-only user will still need the phone app to top up. Every other delivery channel is part of the free core.

Worth knowing before you install

  • Sign-in is your Google account; there is no Timelee password and no email sign-up form
  • The free core covers every delivery channel except the two that place a real phone call
  • The browser does not fire reminders — there is no web push and no desktop notification for them
  • Place reminders need location permission, and a geofence has to be watched by a phone
  • Timelee can only call a number that its owner verified with a one-time code
  • The app is available in 32 languages, four of them laid out right to left

Before you install

Do I need the mobile app if I only work on a laptop?

For anything that rings, yes. The web dashboard builds reminders but does not fire them. The one exception is a real phone call, which Timelee's servers place on the phone network regardless of what you are sitting in front of.

Is there an account to create?

No. You sign in with Google and the account exists. There is no form, no password and no email confirmation step.

What does it cost to install?

Nothing, and the free core is a complete reminder app. Only the two delivery options that place a real phone call use credits, which are bought in the mobile app.

Can I use it on an Android phone and an iPad at the same time?

Yes. Sign in with the same Google account on each device and they show the same reminders.

What happens when I get a new phone?

Install Timelee, sign in with the same Google account, and your reminders, categories, tags, history and verified numbers are already there.
